Lydia Wachs

Research Assistant, Proliferation and Nuclear Policy Programme

Lydia Wachs is a Research Assistant in the Proliferation and Nuclear Policy Programme at RUSI, assisting on research related to arms control and supporting UK PONI initiatives.

Lydia is currently pursuing an MA in Arms Control and International Security at King’s College London, with an emphasis on Russian foreign and security policy. Prior to joining RUSI, Lydia interned at the German Ministry of Defence and the Berlin Center for International Peace Operations. Furthermore, she interned at both the German Embassy and the regional office of the German political foundation Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Kazakhstan. Lydia holds a BA in International Relations from Dresden University, Germany. During her undergraduate studies, she spent a semester abroad at St Petersburg University, Russia.
