Kathryn Parsons is Co-Founder and CEO of Decoded, a technology education company founded in East London in 2011.
Launching with the promise to teach anyone Code in a Day, their face-to-face learning programmes were experienced by over 5,000 different organisations globally in the first year of launch.
Decoded's face to face accelerated and digital accelerated learning experiences now span the worlds of code, data, innovation, cyber security, artificial intelligence and beyond.
Decoded have offices in London, Sydney, New York and Amsterdam and have taught in over 65 major cities worldwide. They believe there is no digital dark art they cannot decode and that technology education is the key for the next generation of leaders to adapt to and thrive within a future digital economy.
Kathryn is a regular public speaker and campaigns globally for code on curriculums and gender diversity in technology. She was part of the successful campaign to have code introduced as a mandatory to the UK national curriculum in September 2014. In 2016 she was appointed Chairwoman of the UK Government Institute of Coding and received an MBE in the New Year's Honours list.
In 2017 Kathryn joined the Mayor's London Business Advisory Board, the UK Government Cyber Security Skills Advisory Board and the non-executive board of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
