Nasrullah Mirza is an Assistant Professor of Defence and Strategic Studies at the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad-Pakistan. He is also an alumnus of the University of Illinois, USA, the University of Uppsala, Sweden and Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad.
Mirza joined Quaid-i-Azam University as a lecturer in 1994. Since then he has been invited as a visiting fellow and has delivered lectures at various international institutions, universities, and think-tanks in the US, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Sri Lanka, Latvia and India.
Mirza has more than fifteen research publications to his credit and has presented papers in a number of conferences abroad. He won a book contract with Routledge on Water, War and India-Pakistan Relations and expected to publish it this year.
Mirza has won several prestigious fellowships including Fulbright, SIDA and RCSS. He is a member of various national and international professional organisations and specialises in nuclear proliferation, arms control, disarmament and international security. His current research interests include military and non-military sources of conflict in South Asia.
