In the aftermath of the Salisbury attack and the retaliatory strikes by the USA, France and the UK against the Syrian regime after its use of chemical weapons in Douma, tensions between Russia and the UK remain extremely high. The UK has not yet pressed for additional sanctions against Russia in response to the Salisbury attack, and US President Trump has just deferred on imposing new sanctions, but the call for further action by the West remains powerful.
In this briefing, Dr Jonathan Eyal and Tom Keatinge will consider the financial and security measures that UK policy-makers could enact at this stage and offer their expert assessments on the unfolding situation.
These briefings are open to Major, Platinum and Diplomatic Corporate Members, Chairman's Circle and RUSI Ambassadors.
Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Tea, coffee and pastries will be available from 0800.
